Scientific endorsement

Who reviewed FORMIND, what they looked at, and what is known about the methods we use.

Last updated: [day month year]

Template. Complete every highlighted field. The details, statements and references about the two reviewers must be supplied and approved by the reviewers themselves. Publish nothing about them without their written consent, and only list references they have actually checked.

Sentences followed by [Confirm] describe FORMIND in ways the landing page does not. Confirm or rewrite each one, then remove the field. The page title, the footer link and the card on the home page speak of an endorsement, while this page says the review is not an approval or a study: consider a more neutral title, such as Medical review.

Ask each reviewer whether the rules of their professional body allow them to be named on a commercial website, and have the page checked by a legal advisor. Remove this note before the site goes live.

Why we asked for a review

Your brain isn't something to experiment with. That's why every step or method is thought through and tested long before it reaches you.

We only use methods and equipment we have screened and tested ourselves, and we do not claim more than the evidence can support. Asking two physicians to look at our approach from their own professional perspective is part of that. A neurologist went through the approach from the first measurement to the final assessment. An occupational physician looked at it through the lens of workplace health.

Their input helps us keep the approach grounded in both individual functioning and working life. On this page, you can read who they are, what they looked at, and what their review does and does not mean.

[Optional: when and why FORMIND asked for the review, in one or two sentences]

The neurologist

A neurologist went through the FORMIND approach from the first measurement to the final assessment.

  • Name: [Full name]
  • Title: [Title, e.g. Dr. or Prof. Dr.]
  • Specialization: Neurology [Add a subspecialty if relevant, or remove this field]
  • Hospital or organization: [Name of the hospital, practice or organization, and city]
  • Registration number: [Medical registration number, only if the neurologist wants it published. Otherwise remove this line]
  • Date of the review: [day month year]

What was reviewed

The neurologist looked at each step of the program:

  • the intake: the qEEG measurement of your brain activity, the questionnaire and the conversation
  • how we use them to shape your personal plan
  • the training: cognitive training combined with neurofeedback or neuromodulation
  • the final measurement and how we compare it with your starting point
  • the personal report and the follow-up plan

[Confirm this list with the neurologist. Add or remove items, e.g. the questionnaire itself, the session protocols or how results are explained to participants]

In their own words

[Statement from the neurologist, in their own words. Publish only the version the neurologist has approved in writing]

[Name and title of the neurologist, as they should appear under the statement]

The occupational physician

An occupational physician looked at FORMIND through the lens of workplace health, including how targeted training can sit alongside existing support and what employers need to consider.

For us, training doesn't replace a healthy workplace. It strengthens the people in it.

  • Name: [Full name]
  • Title: [Title, e.g. Dr. or Prof. Dr.]
  • Specialization: Occupational medicine [Add a further specialization if relevant, or remove this field]
  • Organization: [Name of the occupational health service, practice or organization, and city]
  • Registration number: [Medical registration number, only if the occupational physician wants it published. Otherwise remove this line]
  • Date of the review: [day month year]

What was reviewed

The occupational physician looked at FORMIND in a work context:

  • how targeted training can sit alongside the support an organization already offers
  • what employers need to consider when they offer FORMIND to their people

[Confirm this list with the occupational physician. Add anything else they reviewed, e.g. how participants decide what their employer sees]

In their own words

[Statement from the occupational physician, in their own words. Publish only the version the occupational physician has approved in writing]

[Name and title of the occupational physician, as they should appear under the statement]

What the review means

Both physicians reviewed FORMIND from their own professional perspective. [How the review was done, e.g. which documents and protocols the reviewers read, whether they attended a measurement or a session, and whether their feedback led to changes]

[Whether and when the review will be repeated, e.g. when a method, a program or a device changes]

To avoid misunderstandings, this is what the review does not mean:

  • It is not a clinical study. The review does not measure the results of FORMIND. [Confirm]
  • It is not a medical approval or certification of FORMIND, of our programs or of the equipment we use. [Confirm]
  • The reviewers are not involved in individual programs and do not see participants' results. [Confirm]
  • FORMIND is not a medical treatment and does not replace a diagnosis or treatment by a doctor. [Confirm]

Results can differ from person to person. If you are being treated for a medical or psychological condition, talk to your doctor before you start. [Confirm]

Methods and evidence

Your program starts with a measurement of your brain and ends with a comparison. In between, your plan combines cognitive training with neurofeedback or neuromodulation. Below, you'll find a short description of each method, what the reviewers say is known about it, and the sources they checked.

We only list sources the reviewers have checked, and we describe them without claiming more than the evidence can support. [Confirm]

Want to see how the methods fit together? Read Your mind in form on our home page.

qEEG measurement

A qEEG measures your brain activity. At the intake, we combine it with a detailed questionnaire and a conversation to shape your personal plan. At the end of your program, we repeat the measurement and compare it with your starting point, so you can see what has changed.

The qEEG measurement is not a medical diagnosis. [Confirm]

What is known: [Key finding about qEEG, as worded by the reviewers, in one to three sentences, including its limits and what is not yet known]

References:

  • [Author(s), title, journal, year, link (e.g. DOI)]
  • [One line per reference the reviewers have checked. Remove this line if there are no more]

Cognitive training

Cognitive training is the core of every training plan and part of all three programs. You train in sessions of around 30 minutes, with targeted exercises for memory and focus. The exercises adapt as you get stronger, so you always train at your level.

What is known: [Key finding about cognitive training, as worded by the reviewers, in one to three sentences, including its limits and what is not yet known]

  • [Author(s), title, journal, year, link (e.g. DOI)]
  • [One line per reference the reviewers have checked. Remove this line if there are no more]

Neurofeedback

Neurofeedback works directly on your brain's activity. Together with cognitive training, it forms our Peak Performance (3 weeks) and Reset (8 weeks) programs. Your coach follows your progress and fine-tunes your plan as you go.

[Optional: how a neurofeedback session works in practice at FORMIND, in neutral terms]

What is known: [Key finding about neurofeedback, as worded by the reviewers, in one to three sentences, including its limits and what is not yet known]

References:

  • [Author(s), title, journal, year, link (e.g. DOI)]
  • [One line per reference the reviewers have checked. Remove this line if there are no more]

Neuromodulation

Neuromodulation also works directly on your brain's activity. Together with cognitive training, it forms Reignite (8 weeks), our most intensive program.

[Which form of neuromodulation FORMIND uses and how a session works in practice, in neutral terms]

What is known: [Key finding about this form of neuromodulation, as worded by the reviewers, in one to three sentences, including its limits and what is not yet known]
